Privacy: Practice Data Privacy
Harmonic Buzz Whimnor Educational Publishing Ltd ("we", "us", or "our"), operating harmonicbuzzwhimnor.digital, believes that working through music theory exercises should be a quiet, private intellectual activity. This policy explains what limited information is processed when you use our website.
1. Client-Side Exercise Execution
All interactive interval checks, scale-building selectors, beat-grid rhythm toggles, and chord-choice tasks run entirely inside your web browser using plain JavaScript. We do not transmit your exercise selections, wrong answers, or practice duration to any external server or learner-profiling database.
2. Correspondence via Email
If you choose to email our editorial desk at [email protected], we receive your email address, name, and the contents of your inquiry. We use this information solely to reply to your music theory question or site feedback, under the lawful basis of legitimate interest (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). We never sell or rent correspondence lists to third parties.
3. Standard Web Server Logs
Like all static web hosts, our hosting infrastructure briefly records basic HTTP request metadata (IP address, browser user-agent string, requested page URL, and timestamp) strictly to prevent automated abuse and maintain site availability. These logs are rotated and deleted within 30 days.
4. Your Data Protection Rights
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, you have the right to request access to, rectification of, or erasure of any personal correspondence you have sent to us. To exercise these rights, contact our Data Protection Officer at [email protected] or write to our registered office in Oxford.
